My husband Emory and I have been married for thirty-seven years. We have eight children, eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. We have over 50 combined years of ministry and working with children in Sunday School, Kid's Church and various kids clubs, as well as working in the public school system, so I feel very qualified to write for them. I can honestly say, "I have never met a kid I didn't like."

I began writing when I was in Jr. High school, but was not published until 1986. I am a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature and have published in national publications such as Jr. Trails, Discovery Trails, Memos, Discoveries, Keys for Kids,  Shine Brightly, Skipping Stones, OUAT and Woman's Touch,  as well as Eldridge Publishing Company.  You can check out my Christmas drama, "The Spirits of Christmas", by visiting their website at  www.histage.com.

I have also written Christian curriculum for Christian Education Publishers.  My first book, "Summer of the Buckeye Whistle", takes place here on Bearwallow Mountain, where we reside.  Emory is a direct descendent of the James Crockett family, who purchased our farm in the early 1900's.

I'd like to finish with my mission statement as a writer, and the purpose of this website. "With God's help I will write so that after others have read my words they will know and love Him better."
